Working in partnership with parents

Application form

We feel it is essential to work together with parents so that the best outcomes can be achieved for the child by sharing as much information as possible. We try and include parents in the life of the nursery and support them with all aspects of their child’s learning.

Parents’ evenings

Reading a book to a group of children

We have an annual parents’ evening to provide the opportunity for parents to come in and talk to their child’s key person in a bit more detail about their progress and look through their child’s development profile.

We also have a bi-annual information evening for parents of children new to the Discoverers’ Room which is an opportunity to learn about the ethos and routines of the room.

Ongoing information about the nursery is shared through regular newsletters and daily conversations with your child’s key person.

External support from other agencies

Occasionally we may need additional help in providing the right level of support for a child and when this occurs we have access to a range of children’s services and agencies. We have worked in partnership very successfully in the past with other professionals to ensure that a child with additional needs receives the help that they need.
