Student in the Forum

Oxford Brookes University has been ranked in the top 15 of the most culturally diverse institutions in the UK by Hotcourses, parent company of the The Complete University Guide.

With an international student body of 4428 students, made up of 150 nationalities, Oxford Brookes placed at number 13 in the rankings out of over 2,600 institutions in the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand.

Professor Alistair Fitt, Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University said: “It is extremely encouraging to see Oxford Brookes recognised in these latest higher education rankings and it is a further signal of the University’s global reputation.

We know that both the diversity of a university’s staff and student body, and the extent to which we collaborate with international colleagues, are signs of a successful, responsible and forward-thinking institution.

“An international viewpoint has long been important to Oxford Brookes and is something I am particularly passionate about. We know that both the diversity of a university’s staff and student body, and the extent to which we collaborate with international colleagues, are signs of a successful, responsible and forward-thinking institution.

“Here at Oxford Brookes, we remain committed to being a University with a tolerant, inclusive and truly international outlook.”

The Hotcourses Diversity Index uses official government data to demonstrate the mix of student nationalities at institutions across the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand.

Earlier this year, Times Higher Education listed Oxford Brookes as one of the world’s top universities for its international outlook in its ranking of the top 200 most international universities.
