In the women’s eights Brookes alumnae Carla Ashford and Caroline O’Connor finish fifth ahead of Australia.

Olympics Day 8 - Rowing

Brookes alumnus and honorary graduate Steve Williams in the men’s four (with Tom James, Pete Reed and Andrew Triggs Hodge) celebrates his second Olympic gold medal. Team GB finished the 2,000-metre final race in six minutes and 6.57 seconds. Australia took the silver in 6:07.85, while France got the bronze in 6:09.31.

Olympics Day 9 – Rowing

Brookes’ Alastair Heathcote, Alex Partridge and Tom Lucy in the men’s eight (with Tom Stallard, Richard Egington, Josh West, Matt Langrudge, Colin Smith and Acer Nethercott) win silver. Canada won gold and the US bronze.
