Adrian Reynard is a graduate of the former Oxford Polytechnic. He designed and built the first Reynard car as a student project, completing it in 1973. In the same year he founded Sabre Automotive Ltd, which was later renamed Reynard Racing Cars Ltd and which went on to become one of the largest race car manufacturers in the world. Adrian currently runs his own auto research centre in Indianapolis, USA.
