Brigid Sirengo is the Chief Executive of Nairobi Hospice and has played a crucial role in the development of the hospice and its staff. She has strong links with Oxford Brookes, having completed a BSc in Palliative Care through distance learning with us, and later leading a collaboration with our School of Health Care to establish the first Diploma in Palliative Care in Africa.
Brigid was a key player in establishing an African Palliative Care Association to share expertise across the continent and was recently awarded the prestigious Order of the Grand Warrior by the Kenyan Government for her work.
