Bryan Brown

Bryan Brown is a designer, businessman and management consultant who has played a leading role in establishing design consultancy in the UK. He has promoted the value of design to industry and education through his companies, various design organisations, colleges and schools.

Bryan is an advisor to this university, recommending the name and designing the brand identity in 1992. A former student at Cheney School and Oxford College of Technology, both founded by John Brookes.

He graduated from Manchester in the 60's and developed a passion for creativity in business. He applied this to being Chairman of Allied International Designers, the first publicly quoted design group and from 1987 to 2004 building Marketplace Design into a leading UK consultancy. Bryan now runs The Brown Partnership which helps develop small to medium sized businesses.

He is involved with leading design bodies, is a frequent speaker, a school governor, examiner and lecturer. He is currently writing a book on John Henry Brookes.
