Sir James Dyson

The first James Dyson-designed vacuum cleaner, the dual cyclone G-Force, went on sale in 1986. James went on to established a research centre and factory in Chippenham, Wiltshire in 1993 and the Dyson DC01 went into production in the same year. A succession of best-selling and award-winning vacuum cleaners followed, and in 1997 Dyson became the first British company to win a European Design Award.
