John Coe is General Secretaryof the National Association for Primary Education and editor of the journal 'Primary First'. He is a Trustee of the Research and Information in Education Trust and a Trustee (Vice Chair) of the National Literacy Association. He serves on the Editorial Board of Scholastic Publications and the Editorial Panel of Practical Research for Education (NFER).
Recent work has included the leadership of a panel of teachers/writers preparing an international curriculum for primary schools. Current research is concerned with parents' use of league tables as an aid to their choice of primary schools.
