Ken Hom is regarded by many as the world authority on Asian cooking. He was born in the US and grew up in Chicago’s Chinatown where he learned to cook at the age of 11 at his uncle’s restaurant. Ken wrote his first book in 1981 and in 1984 his BBC TV series, Ken Hom’s Chinese Cookery, made him into a household name. Today as well as being one of the world’s most admired chefs, he also has a successful career as a broadcaster, entrepreneur, and food consultant, and he is also a committed supporter of charity and education.
