Leonard McComb is an artist who describes his work as visual abstractions after nature. His media include oil, watercolour, print and sculpture and he is represented in the Tate Gallery Collection in all four. A former student and teacher at the Slade School of Fine Art, he has also taught at the Royal College of Art and at Oxford Brookes. One of Leonard’s major pieces of commissioned work is a commemorative bronze-and-gold-leaf portrait plaque of John Brookes for this University.
