Dr Maritta Koch-Weser has had a distinguished career in international development, as anthropologist and environmentalist. She was one of the first ever anthropologists to be employed by the World Bank and was closely associated with the build-up of environmental and social programmes and policies and the implementation of major investment. She is Founder and President of Earth 3000, a globally orientated, non-profit organisation which supports innovations in governance for environment and sustainable development.
Maritta is involved with the work of the Social Sculpture Research Unit at Oxford Brookes, helping develop the Earth Agenda project to assist cross sector global networking on social and ecological questions, among scientists, artists and policy-maker.
