Max Stafford-Clark

Formerly Artistic Director at London's Royal Court, Max Stafford-Clark is co-founder and Artistic Director of Out of Joint Theatre Company. In his 15 years with the company, Max has been responsible for commissioning and directing first productions by many of Britain's leading writers, including Caryl Churchill, Mark Ravenhill, Sebastian Barry and David Hare. His most recent productions include The Overwhelming by JT Rogers and The Convict's Opera, an adaptation

of The Beggar's Opera, by Stephen Jeffreys. He is the author of two books, Letters to George and Taking Stock, both published by Nick Hern Books.
