Neil Bartlett

Described by The Observer as ‘an artist who can really change the way people feel’ Neil Bartlett works as a director, deviser, translator, adaptor, author and performer. Over the last 25 years his work in theatre and music-theatre has included controversial solo and large scale performance pieces as well as major productions for many of the most prestigious theatre companies in the world. He continues to break new ground both as an author and a theatre-maker.

His book, Skin Lane, was nominated for the Costa Book Award and his play Or You Could Kiss Me opened at the National Theatre in 2010. He is preparing a new production of Tchokovsky's The Queen of Spades for Opera North in 2011.
