Paul Oliver’s broadcasts, lectures and seminars on two subjects – vernacular architecture and Afro-American music – have been in demand for many years. He has written numerous publications in both areas, including the award-winning book Blues Fell This Morning, and is the editor of the four-volume Encyclopedia of Vernacular Architecture of the World (CUP). Paul has been connected with Oxford Brookes for many years, and was Associate Head of the School of Architecture between 1978 and 1988.
