Philip Opher
Year conferred: 1994
A former architect, and lecturer, Philip Opher was co-founder of the Joint Centre for Urban Design at Oxford Brookes. His current activities revolve around publishing, and he is the author of a number of books on architecture and a series of specialist guides on the history and architecture of Oxford. A recent project has seen him working with a number of Brookes alumni in Mexico City, on a book about the city’s recent architecture. Philip also enjoys pottery – where the results come a good deal quicker than they do in urban design.
