Prue Leith's varied career has included being a prolific food writer, presenting two TV series, founding the Leith's group of catering and restaurant companies which she sold in 1995 by which time she employed 350 people. Chairmanship of the RSA, Ashridge Management College, 3E’s Enterprises, the British Food Trust and the School Food Trust and board membership of British Rail, Safeway, Halifax, Whitbread, Woolworths and Omega. She is currently on the board of Orient-Express Hotels. She has published five novels. Prue has founded several charities, not least Focus on Food which teaches cooking in the school curriculum and the Hoxton Apprentice restaurant which trains and employs disadvantaged people. She is on the board of Slow Food UK..
