Ray Mears

Ray Mears is recognised throughout the world as being an authority on the subject of Bushcraft and Survival and has become a household name through his many television series, the most recent of which was Wild Food. Ray grew up on the North Downs where his interest in the forest, flora and fauna, and tracking began. Since those early days he has gone on to travel the world many times over. In 1983 he founded Woodlore, a school of Wilderness Bushcraft to teach others the skills he has learnt. In addition to his television appearances he has published books on survival and is an expert in botanical science and a professional photographer.
