Dr Seamus Hegarty

Since 2004, Seamus Hegarty has been the Chair of the International Association for the Evaluation of Education Achievement (IEA) which is responsible for the conduct of major international comparisons of student achievement. Until October 2005 he was the Director of the National Foundation for Educational Research, the largest educational research institution in the UK, and the only education body to feature in last year’s Sunday Times/DTI list of the 100 best companies to work for.
