Stephen Dexter is a director and or audit committee member of organisations in both the private and public sector, ranging from the Higher Education Funding Council for England, Abingdon and Witney College to his long standing family firm.
Formerly a partner in the chartered accountancy practice Grant Thornton, Stephen has served the county's business community in many ways - a director of the Oxford John Radcliffe NHS Trust, a council member of Central Laboratories Research Council, fund raising for the Oxford Children's Hospital and chairman of the organising committee of Oxfordshire Business Awards.
Stephen was one of the original governors of Oxford Brookes University and cycled with Graham Upton (former Vice-Chancellor) from Lands End to John O'Groats to raise money for the University.
