Steve Williams is an Olympic Gold-winning rower and an alumnus of Oxford Brookes, having studied History and Town Planning as an undergraduate and an MSc in International Management.
A member of the University’s very successful boat club, he was first selected for the Great Britain National team in 1998, winning a gold in the World University Championships. Further international successes followed and six years on, Steve was a member of the coxless four crew that beat world champions Canada in a photo finish at the Athens Olympics.
In 2005 he was awarded an MBE for services to sport.
