Tom Walkinshaw

Tom Walkinshaw entered motor racing in 1968 and enjoyed a driving career that spanned three decades before retiring to concentrate on TWR's highly successful Jaguar Sportscar Programme. After Jaguar retired from Motor Racing, TWR got involved with Benetton Formula 1, Ligier and Arrows, winning two World Championships with Michael Schumacher. TWR also designed and engineered cars such as the Volvo C70 and the Aston Martin DB7.

Tom is still actively involved with his Australian business Holden Special Vehicle and Holden Motorsports team. His successes on the business front include forging joint-venture engineering partnerships with India-based automotive industries.

Tom Walkinshaw sadly died in December 2010
