Tony Robinson is an actor, writer and documentary-maker. Perhaps best known for his role as Baldrick in the TV comedy series Blackadder, he has also made, written or produced more than 1,000 programmes, among them Channel 4’s award-winning archaeology series Time Team.
Following his stage debut aged 13 in Oliver!, he made many appearances as a child actor, spent several years in theatre, including a spell as a director, before moving on to the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.
He has won a number of awards for his TV work, including two from the Royal Television Society and a BAFTA.
