The Rev Tony Tucker

A minister of the United Reformed Church, Tony Tucker joined the Oxford Polytechnic at its foundation as Student Welfare Officer and went on to become Head of Student Services until his retirement in 1989 after some 20 years of service. He later became Associate Director of Ordination Training and tutor in Pastoral Theology at Mansfield College, Oxford. In retirement he has written a book – Reformed Ministry – on the traditions of ministry and ordination in the URC. He has also edited, and contributed to, a series of booklets on “Experiences of Loss” and edited a volume of essays celebrating 123 years or ordination training at Mansfield College. He is currently researching aspects of the history of the English Congregational churches in the mid-20th century.
