Professor Wendy Hall CBE

Wendy Hall is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Southampton. Her first academic appointment was as a lecturer in engineering mathematics at the former Oxford Polytechnic. In 1984 she joined her old university, Southampton, as a lecturer in the newly established Department of Computer Science, and ten years later became the University’s first female professor of engineering. Wendy was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2000.
