Bill Rammell MP delivers public lecture at Brookes
Minister of State for Lifelong Learning, Further and Higher Education, Bill Rammell MP, will be guest speaker at a public lecture organised by Oxford Brookes Students’ Union on Thursday 7 February.
The topic under the spotlight will be the changing role of students’ unions in creating our future leaders and activitists.
Bill Rammell has a long standing association with Students’ Unions and served as President at Cardiff University. He has worked as a regional officer at the National Union of Students and also as General Manager at both King’s College London Students’ Union and the University of London Union.
President of Oxford Brookes’ SU, Antoinette Kyuchukova, said: “We’re delighted that Bill Rammell MP will be delivering the public lecture on a subject on which he is highly respected.
“Students’ Unions play a pivotal role in developing the leaders of the future by giving students the opportunity to get involved as course reps, in action projects, charity fundraising and much more.”
The lecture will take place in the Main Lecture Theatre, Headington Campus, Gipsy Lane site at 7pm. Booking is essential.
