EcoCampus bronze award for Oxford Brookes
Oxford Brookes University has been presented with a bronze award in recognition of the work going on to improve the environmental sustainability of its campuses.
EcoCampus, a national pilot scheme involving 10 Higher Education institutions including Brookes, looks at how universities are addressing key environmental issues.
The universities that achieved bronze accreditation could demonstrate they had a clear environmental policy and had started to set objectives and targets for environmental improvement.
Oxford Brookes Environmental Co–ordinator, Harriet Waters, said: “We were delighted to be among the first universities to achieve the EcoCampus bronze. Brookes has a good reputation in higher education on environmental issues and we are committed to making further progress.”
