'Therapy culture' impacts learning

academics_webA ‘therapy culture’ is undermining learning according to Oxford Brookes academics, Professor Kathryn Ecclestone and Professor Dennis Hayes (pictured) from The Westminster Institute of Education.

In a new book jointly written, The Dangerous Rise of Therapeutic Education, they argue that too much focus on the emotional aspects of teaching can be detrimental to learning itself.
