Website wins national award
Oxford Brookes’ website has been awarded the Silver Prize at the annual Heist ceremony.
Heist (which provides specialist marketing and market research services to HE and FE institutions) runs annual awards recognising outstanding achievement and rewarding good practice in the marketing of universities and colleges.
The Brookes website has undergone a two year development project and was re-launched in 2007. The new site aims to convey Brookes in a way that maximises our competitive advantage, and to present the key information our users are looking for clearly and effectively.
Helen Thomson, Web Communications Manager, said: ‘We are absolutely delighted with this award, and would like to thank everyone who worked with us on the project. We look forward to working with you on further exciting web developments over the coming months and years.’
It was pipped to the top prize by Derby University’s website, but judges commented that the decision had been extremely close.
The ceremony was held at Madame Tussauds in London on Thursday 8 May. The picture shows (L-R) Paul Hoskins (Precedent) Helen Thomson (Web Communications Manager), Bryan Day (Web Developer), Fiona Phillips (GMTV), Adam Castle (Web Developer), Ian Bruce (Web Editor/Designer), and Hardip Bhamra (Precedent).
