Eden ProjectTim Smit

Tim Smit will be talking about how he restored the Lost Gardens of Heligan and founded the inspirational Eden Project, creating one of Britain’s most popular tourist attractions.

The Eden Project, based in Cornwall, welcomes over one million visitors a year. Eden’s aim is to educate as well as delight, using workshops and educational programmes to remind people of nature’s unique qualities and show how we can work together towards a better future.

Tim Smit is the Chief Executive and co-founder of the Eden Project and received the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Tourism in the UK’ award in 2000. He is an Honorary Graduate of Oxford Brookes University.
