New research and exchange programme with Indian universities
Oxford Brookes is one of 15 UK universities involved in a new programme to conduct joint research and exchange programmes with Indian universities.
The Universities Grants Commission and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education have chosen Oxford Brookes and Panjab University to take part in the scheme.
Professor John Raftery, Brookes’ Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic and External Affairs), visited Panjab University in March to discuss the collaboration.
He said: “The partnership is likely to benefit groups conducting research on climate, life science, international law and psychology.
“The plans are at an early stage but we look forward to welcoming the VC of the university of the Panjab to Brookes in late June to discuss priorities and possible collaboration in research.”
