Reuters focus on hybrid car
Brookes and Abbey, part of Santander Group, recently signed a sponsorship agreement which includes support for the further development of a hybrid car to rival conventional engines in the Student Formula competition.
Brookes was the first hybrid car to enter the competition last year, and last week the students were in attendance at the launch of a new class of Formula Student specifically for alternatively powered cars. The launch was covered by a number of film crews, including the news agency Reuters which has sent this clip around the world:

The next Formula Student event will be held at Silverstone in July 2008, and with the support of Abbey, Brookes is determined to make great progress and ensure that its hybrid car is a serious competitor.
