Paul Large
Paul Large is Registrar and Clerk to the Board of Governors and has responsibility for the University's support directorates. Prior to his appointment, he had been the University’s Director of Finance and Legal Services since 1997.
During his time as Director of Finance, Paul was involved with the British Universities Finance Directors Group, serving on its Executive, and was also a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finances (CIPFA) Further and Higher Education Panel.
Paul qualified as an accountant in 1986. Before joining Oxford Brookes, he was a Regional Director of Finance for the Further Education Funding Council, where he had worked since its formation.
Previously, he was a General Manager with KPMG's Birmingham office, specialising in audit and consultancy in the public and wider not for profit sectors.
His early career was spent working in local government and the NHS.
