OX33.com
OX33.com was a social events group for students at the Business School. The group were put together to develop and expand on the number of social events and activities available both to members of the Business School and at the Business School, Wheatley Campus.
OX33.com events were exclusively for Business School students providing the opportunity for students to meet, network and socialise with others from the School, their course and modules.
At the early stage ASKe funded and facilitated the management of OX33.com, but the ownership of individual events was given to a student committee team with guidance from ASKe. Eventually ASKe would like the group to become a fully fledged, self-sustaining student society whose events would be fully integrated into every Business School student’s social calendar.
Review for one of our event:

The River Boat Party that OX33.com organised in early October was a fantastic night out. We travelled along the Thames River for three hours on a boat that had a bar and a DJ on board.
Feedback received:
'Meeting new people from the Business School was the main aim for most of us students who went to the boat party. There were more than 60 people on board including a few lecturers, and postgraduate students. Everyone was very friendly and sociable, and we definitely made some new friends.'

'At one point everyone crowded on the top floor to watch the stars even though it was a bit cold outside. The River Boat Party made me realise how approachable lecturers actually are, I would never have thought this before as I have never met them outside of the classroom.'

'I really enjoyed the night and would recommend OX33.com to other students who want to get involved in social events for Business School students.'
Members of OX33.com were able to attend all events run by the group and ASKe, advised ASKe at the planning stages of their student events and helped to plan, organise and run OX33.com events. Became an active member of OX33.com provided a student the opportunity to gain some all important work experience and develop skills that will be useful to him/her beyond his/her learning experience at Oxford Brookes.
