Brookes competes in the BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) Southern Premier and Midlands Conferences in 33 different sports, finishing 32nd overall in the 2014/15 season.
As well as BUCS, many Brookes teams also compete in other leagues and events including the annual Varsity fixture against Reading University, basketball in Men's National League Division 3 South and many of our cricketers are part of Oxford Universities MCCU.

Brookes Sport subsidises the costs associated with recognised teams and individuals training and competing for Brookes. Clubs are given facility time, strength and conditioning support, use of equipment and transport to competitions. Members of clubs wishing to compete are required to contribute to these costs with an annual subscription currently set at £50 for most sports for 2016/17.
Oxford Brookes University is committed to the development of sporting excellence amongst its students, and each year offers a number of Sports Scholarships to students who show, or have shown, outstanding talent in their chosen sport.
