Coaching has seen huge growth in recent years with the Chartered Institute of Personal Development survey reporting that over 80% of companies are now using coaching as a development approach and it is consistently reported as the most effective development intervention. Benefits reported from coaching include: improved performance, reduced stress and better communication skills.

Civil Service Learning Coaching Foundation, Validation and Supervision Programme.

Oxford Brookes University designed and delivered a 3 year Coaching Foundation programme to CSL, incorporating many levels of management within highly regulated environments. This programme was designed to introduce delegates to the fundamental principles of coaching and the core skills required. We also designed and delivered a coaching validation format for the CSL.  This Internal Coaching Framework programme assessed over 220 coaches against competencies from the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

We believe that coaching is a powerful method for developing a manager’s relational management capabilities and leadership styles, and also ensures that they achieve their goals whilst remaining congruent with their personal values, and those of the organisation.

We work closely with a range of clients within the public, private and charity sectors, forging a close working partnership with clients to ensure that programme design and delivery optimise impact and add distinctive value. Using the extensive and diverse expertise of our team we are able to support organisations with a range of tailored services. We adopt a partnership approach to evaluate specific client needs and design bespoke programmes that support both individual and organisational objectives.

At our International Centre for Coaching and Mentoring Studies we bring together coaching expertise, providing services to organisations within the UK and internationally. We were the first university to offer postgraduate accredited programmes in coaching and mentoring and continue to lead the field globally.

With leading authors, practitioners and academics across a variety of fields we draw on the latest research ideas to deliver leading edge coaching and mentoring based services. Our clients choose us for the flexibility and credibility of our programmes that offer customised solutions.

These practical programmes have expanded over the last decade, attracting a variety of individuals, from those wishing to begin a career in coaching and mentoring, to experienced coaching professionals, global business managers and senior executives.
