This half-day event aims to develop a shared understanding of the findings, insights and challenges various austerity based projects in the UK faced, to enable networking and future collaborative research. It will also showcase examples of what inter-disciplinary research has actually taught us about understanding the consequences of austerity, with output and discussion available in terms of podcasts, blog articles, presentations and papers.
Participants include researchers from several projects within the UK that look at austerity and its consequences from various disciplinary lenses: economics, political science, sociology, geography, anthropology and history. The specific projects include:
