Choose from 11 one-day workshops for businesses, local authorities, and consultants to reduce wasted utilities.

The Environmental Management of Utilities is a University accredited short course module that can be taken for credit or without credit by attending individual workshops.

Training provides tools and skills to identify, analyse, and act on opportunities to reduce utilities usage saving costs and reducing environmental impacts.

This one day course introduces solutions to environmental management and other issues surrounding energy, water, and waste use in organisations.

Topics include: rationale for reduction, prioritising utilities for action, management strategies, and progressing reduction actions. At the end of the course, participants will understand and be able to prioritise management factors, address barriers associated with wasted utilities, and be able to carry out data collection and monitoring of key utility usage data.

This workshop is aimed at site and facilities managers and those who have newly accepted responsibility for improving their organisation’s energy, buildings, or asset management strategy and provides a sound base for further study.

Prosecution for many environmental laws does not require intention.  Many businesses use an environmental management system to reduce environmental impacts as well as comply with legislation.

This one day workshop covers the process of defining and implementing an EMS.  The content will develop the delegate’s skills and knowledge in order to make decision about environmental management systems and map the route towards implementation.

This workshop is aimed for those responsible for legislation compliance and environmental management, health and safety officers, as well as those consultants intending to provide EMS support to clients.  Delegates are assumed to be familiar with environmental management, though this is not a requirement.
