Leicester Paper's plastic recycling service is relatively new. They are willing to collect many types of plastics depending on their value and quantity. For a collection of polythene, for example, they might require 10 tonnes pre-baled product to provide any kind of rebate to your organisation for the collection. Compactors and storage devices are also offered.
They can also arrange mixed collections, either mixed types of plastic (when in sufficient quantities and they might require samples) or even a mix of paper, cardboard and plastic (although these must be segregated before collection). Plastic tends to be worth more than paper and cardboard, so the rebates for these collections will generally be greater. They also recycle cardboard and paper, cans, glass bottles, printers and office waste. See their website for a full list of recycling services.

Collect hard wall polystyrene vending cups. They are a non-profit making company and therefore there is no charge for collection.
To set up the scheme you will need to purchase special collection bins which stack the cups on their disposal. A normal bin will only hold 100 cups whereas a "Beca Bin" will stack the cups and hold 500 within the same volume of space. The Beca Bins come in two sizes. Most companies purchase the larger bins, which hold 500 cups and cost £42.80 each. Small bins, which hold 100 cups cost £19.52. The bins are lined with clear bags, at a cost of £16.75. Each bag holds 500 cups.
Frequency of collections depends on how many cups are used. For a small company collection is likely to be on request. A minimum of 6 bags is needed for collection, and therefore storage space is required. For larger companies collection can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You can register on their website.
If your business currently uses a different type of vending cup, you could change the type of cup so that they could be recycled.
