Finance
Estates and Facilities has its own financial department which oversees all financial matters for each of the divisions in the directorate.
Financial plans
We look after five financial plans and these are categorised as the following:
- Catering
- Conferencing
- Halls
- Sport
- All other services
As a responsible approach to finance, there is also a strategic plan that looks at the overarching finances of Estates as a whole. This is important to ensure budgets are adhered to in order to maximise return on investments and minimise risks; This proactive approach to finance and auditing helps ensure that our decisions allow investment to go further and improve the facilities we offer across all our campuses for the future.
Statistics
The finance department has access to statistics on;
- HEFCE (Higher Education Funding Council for England)
- Estates department.
The HEFCE statistics available allow us to compare ourselves with other universities in our peer group and beyond. Both sets of statistics are available for internal use. If you are a member of staff and would like to access the information, please contact the Finance department for further information.
