Our mission is that by "2020 Oxford Brookes will be the University campus that others aspire to".

With over 420 staff across many trades and disciplines looking after the built environment which houses all the activities for all of our students, staff and visitors, our task is to be all things to all people: innovative and exciting yet financially secure;responsive yet unobtrusive; open and accessible yet safe and secure; located across many sites yet working closely together and above all providing excellent services to all our customers.

We enjoy a culture where all staff are valued in an environment where we can develop and grow and we are all encouraged to be adaptable to change in order to provide a high quality service which runs through everything we do every day.

The EFM directorate is on a journey to lead and deliver new standards demanded by a new generation of students and staff, and a change in culture is central to that challenge.

We have introduced many new initiatives including Business Improvement Team, EFM Communication Ambassadors, the Corporate Responsibility Programme, the expansion of the helpdesk, the introduction of a new strategic space planning role, you can read all about this in our directorate-wide business plan which you can download from here. We have lots more to do and our new annual consultation process is part of it.
