Overview

The electrical maintenance team look after electrical building services utilised within the University, undertaking installations, responsive repairs and planned maintenance; ensuring statutory compliance. They maintain the day to day running of the systems to facilitate teaching and research.

Electrical maintenance responsibilities

The electrical maintenance team are responsible for the following;

• lighting and power systems, installation and maintenance
• lightning protection
• security lighting
• emergency lighting
• electrical testing and inspections
