From Passion to Action - Brookes Social Entrepreneurship awards - Awareness Day

Find out about how to translate your passionate ideals into sustainable social business ventures at the launch event of Social Entrepreneurship Awards at Brookes. The Awareness Event will take on 9 October at 2.00pm in the new exhibition space, Abercrombie Building. Internationally famous mountaineers and social entrepreneurs Doug Scott CBE and Gavin Bate are among the inspiring social entrepreneurs speaking at the launch.

The initiative aims to foster social entrepreneurship within the university. With £30,000 in total available to support projects the Social Entrepreneurship Awards are open to Brookes staff and students across all faculties and directorates.

You do not need a business background in order to apply but you will need a passion for your idea or project and the determination and drive to be a changemaker to make the world a better place. In addition to funding there is a comprehensive training and mentoring programme including the opportunity to attend social entrepreneurship conferences, seminars and workshops.
