Lecturer receives National Teaching Fellowship

Jane Spiro, Principal Lecturer in Education and TESOL, received a National Teaching Fellowship at the Higher Education Academy’s annual awards ceremony in London on September 29th 2010.
The fellowship is given yearly to 50 lecturers from Higher Education institutions throughout the United Kingdom for contributions to student, collegiate and institutional life, as well as involvement at national and international levels in the higher education community.
Of Jane’s success, Oxford Brookes’ Vice-Chancellor, Janet Beer, said “This award recognises the determination and commitment of our academic staff to work tirelessly to enhance the learning experience of our students. It is an enduring pleasure to me that Brookes has such a strong reputation for innovative teaching”.
