Stones Theatre Company, run by Oxford Brookes students Olivia Stone and Rachael Head, is about to present its fourth production, Radiant Vermin by Philip Ridley.

The play was first performed last year at the Soho Theatre, and now after Stones Theatre secured the performance rights, it will be coming to Oxford.

The play follows a young couples attempt to get onto the property ladder. Olivia Stone, director,  describes the play as highlighting “the materialistic nature of today's society and shines a light on the contradictions of mankind. This play will make you think about the how far exactly you could go to get on the property ladder and own your dream home.

As a director who is still developing my craft, I could not have asked for a more imaginative, creative and hardworking cast. They have brought a dark humour to this text in so many ways and I hope it will be an incredibly enjoyable and thought provoking night at the theatre.”

Rachael Head, producer, describes her role and the performance; “my role as a producer at Stones Theatre has been expansive, challenging and ultimately, very rewarding. Olivia and I have had an amazing three years developing the company…  Olivia and I have been lucky enough to secure a wonderful creative team for this production, from the actors to the technical staff; everyone has worked tirelessly to make this play everything it could be and more.

Radiant Vermin will be performed at the Pegasus Theatre on the 6th of May and the Bread & Roses Theatre in Clapham from 14th-17th June.
