  • Networking and collaboration

We collaborate as academic partners. One mechanism is the UK Government sponsored ‘Knowledge Transfer Partnerships’. Another is collaborative research projects with commercial organisations.

We conduct research alongside professional coaches. A recent study evaluated coaching effectiveness in public sector organisation. We collaborate with coaching associations including the EMCC. Many members of our team are members of professional organisations including the Special Group in Coaching Psychology.

We are happy to be collaborating in terms of research and educational events with our colleagues from the 'Coaching Studies FHNW' group at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland.

We host the Oxford Brookes Coaching and Mentoring Society (OBCAMS), a discussion and events forum for professional coaches. We organise continuing professional development sessions for former alumni.

We are involved in media partnerships and currently support a monthly research column for ‘Coaching at Work'.

    Conferences and events

The International Centre for Coaching and Mentoring Studies at Oxford Brookes University is well-known in the coaching world for two successful conferences that are led yearly.

Oxford Brookes Annual Research conference has been run in 2016 for the 12th time.

The International Conference on Coaching Supervision was the first in the world starting in 2010 and growing in its influence year by year.
