Tanushri Shukla

Tanushri Shukla, MA in Publishing

A lot of projects involve very hands-on work. I’m working with people in the industry and I’ve learned more in eight months than I ever have before.

We’ve received a lot of support on placements. There are big publishers, like OUP and Pearson, but also smaller, niche publishers in Oxford. I heard about Berg through a guest lecture. They’re doing this fantastic digital product called Berg Fashion Library. I’m doing an internship with them this summer – just what I was looking for.

Right now I’m figuring out the scope of my dissertation. I spent an hour and forty minutes in my professor’s office just talking it through to get to the idea. Our professors are open to doing that.

Prateek Sureshh, MSc Business Management

The practical application of what you learn is amazing. It isn’t just theory, but they give you the case study method of learning. So you learn to problem solve. This really makes you think and helps you look outside the box for solutions. In the current economic context there has never been a more important time to have this skill of problem solving.

The teaching methods are brilliant. The lectures are very interactive and it isn’t one way communication. I would definitely recommend Brookes to anyone. The course quality, the rigour and the overall student experience is simply fabulous.

Harsh Shah

Harsh Shah, BSc Economics, Finance and International Business

I do enjoy being a student in Oxford Brookes and will cherish every moment of it. It’s a great university filled with lots of opportunities, a great nightlife and great people.

The courses are made to help students work in the real world and apply the knowledge in real life situation rather than all being theory based. There are so many opportunities available here, to prove yourself to everyone. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a sport man or basically anyone there will be something for you!

Oxford is a very education friendly city which has got long history in modern universities. There is huge population of international students. All this helps you to stay focused and get your educational goals.
