Campus facilities
You will probably spend a lot of your time on campus, so we've ensured that everything you need to live and study at Brookes can be found only a short distance away.
The university has three main campuses in Oxford which are all within easy reach of each other and Oxford city centre via the Brookes Bus. Each campus has its own student accommodation, library, food outlets, cafes and sports facilities.
Headington Campus, the largest campus, is home to the Student’s Union, a bank, and a Blackwell’s bookshop. We also have our own Media Centre with a professional graphics and print service that is available to all students.
Libraries
Each campus has its own library and we employ specialist staff to help you find all the information you need both quickly and easily. You will have access to a wide range of hard copy and electronic material that will help you at all stages of your degree course.
Computer facilities
Computers can be found all over our campuses and we are constantly upgrading our computing facilities. We currently have over 750 networked PCs, linked to printers, in 37 pooled rooms.
All bedrooms in our halls of residence have a connection to email and full internet services.
Sports facilities
There are a full range of sports facilities on offer at the Headington, Harcourt Hill and Wheatley campuses, so whether you want to compete for your country, enjoy team sports, or just keep fit and have fun, there is something on offer for everyone.
The Students’ Union
The Students' Union (SU) is at the centre of the University’s social scene as it organises live bands, club nights and events in The Venue, which has a capacity of 1,200 people. The SU bars, clubs, shops and other services employ around 200 students every year.
The Students' Union Advice Centre (SUAC) can also help you with information about finance, legal and welfare issues. Membership to SU is free and is available to all students.
Medical help
The university also has its own medical centre and dentist's surgery on campus for registered students during term time. International students are entitled to receive general medical care under the National Health Service (NHS) if they have registered with a local doctor.
Religion and Worship
We welcome students from all religious backgrounds and cultures and we provide pastoral care and worship facilities for a range of faiths on campus. Oxford itself is home to a number of faith communities, all of which offer a warm welcome to international students.
Our student societies also organise a variety of religious events.
