Your career

An Oxford Brookes degree opens up doors in the global employment market.

Working in a laboratory Our courses are designed with real life skills in mind, often with built in work placements. Work placements give you the chance to explore your career options and provide real evidence of the skills which employers seek. More than 60 of our programmes include work placements in all sorts of organisations, from small, local enterprises to large, international companies.

The Brookes Careers and Employment centre gives free careers advice, as well as advertising work placements and other jobs on its website. They can also advise you about finding a job once you graduate.

The Student’s Union can also help you find temporary, part-time or vacation jobs to help boost your employability, or you can volunteer through STAX (Student’s Taking Action for Community Change), giving you the opportunity to work with people from the local Oxford community.

I chose Oxford Brookes after looking at several universities. It was accessible, affordable and it allowed me to take the courses I desired, and provided education that just wasn't available stateside.
I am grateful for having studied at Oxford Brookes, and enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking a well-rounded, international education.
