Weather in Oxford

Like most of the southern part of England, Oxford enjoys a fairly temperate climate, with some of the best weather in the UK.

At any time of year grey clouds and rain can be followed by sunshine and blue skies, sometimes all in the same day, and because the weather varies so much you will find it is best to dress in layers and carry an umbrella and a light jacket.

During the summer it is often warm enough for shorts and t-shirts but throughout the winter you will need a warm coat, gloves, a hat and scarf. It is usually cold and rainy from November to February but it rarely snows in Oxford or the south of England.
