Work placements

  • This is an exciting opportunity to apply for work placements in Oxford Brookes International

    You will need to have drive and enthusiasm to learn within a friendly environment. While you are here you will gain experience of working in an internationally known university and learn what happens behind the scenes of events and projects.

  • Exchanges/Study Abroad work placements

    Gain experience of creating marketing materials and planning events to aid promotion of exchange activities.

    Dates of work placement

    Spring
    Monday 19th January to Friday 29th May 2015

    Summer
    Monday 18th May to Friday 28th August 2015

    Dates are negotiable. 

    Application requirements

    Relevant skills
    • Interest in marketing and communications as a future career
    • Computer literate – experience of using Microsoft Office
    • Familiar with the various web browsers and social media tools
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a solid grasp of the English language (minimum IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)
    • Ability to demonstrate good attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines
     
    Special Requirements
    • Good team player who demonstrates initiative
    • Flexible approach to work
    • Creative, self-motivated and with the ability to come up with new marketing ideas and plans
     

    Applicants must ensure that they are eligible for Erasmus funding from their home university for the period of their chosen work placement. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing Erasmus funding.

    International Marketing Team work placements

    Gain experience of working on and creating materials that are used for international student recruitment and conversion in English language courses.

    • Creative, self-motivated and with the ability to come up with new marketing ideas and plans
